The equipment rental for the 2026 Howard County boys lacrosse season is being handled by Play It Again Sports in Ellicott City again this year. Once you have completed the online rental process you can pick your equipment up at the store after 2 business days, the address is listed at the bottom.

The cost for rental for the spring season is $85 for a standard youth helmet, $95 for a standard adult size helmet and $145 for the premium helmet if you complete the rental online.($105-$165 if you walk in for the rental) This would mean picking up your equipment anytime it is convenient for you and returning it BEFORE JUNE 20th, 2026. You have the option to keep the rental equipment for the summer for an additional $50(returning the equipment by 8/20/26) or the option to keep the equipment and forgo your deposit.

You will be charged a deposit based on the equipment you rent. The deposit will range from $145-$215. The deposit will be charged in full when you rent the equipment. You will be refunded your entire deposit upon timely return of equipment provided it is still in usable shape

The rental package includes a helmet, gloves, arm pads and shoulder pads. There are other items available for purchase in this online store. Those additional items will be yours to keep, they do not need to be returned with the rest of the equipment.

If, at the end of the year if you choose to keep your equipment you may do so, we will keep your deposit and you can keep the equipment. Here is a brief description of your options:

1. Rent for $85-$145(or $105-$165) and leave a deposit, return before June 12th, 2026 and receive you full deposit back.

2. Rent for $85-$145(or $105-$165) and leave a deposit, return before August 20th, 2026 and receive your deposit minus $45 back

3. Rent for $85-$145(or $105-$165) and leave your deposit, do not return and forgo your deposit

You do not have to select the option now, you can decide as you go.
